Zaandam is the main town of Zaanstad, on the Zaan river, with well-known sights and plenty of business activity. For a wheelchair ride that means: many rides to care, work and outings.
Zaanstad is a collection of old Zaan villages by the water, with Zaandam as its largest town. The Zaanse Schans attracts many visitors, and the Zaans Museum and the Czaar Peterhuisje show why the region is famous.
For residents in a wheelchair, it's less of a museum and more of an everyday town: to the GP, day care or family. We drive you there, and to Amsterdam and Schiphol too.
