Wheelchair transport, planned too

Not every ride needs to be an emergency. Rolstoeltaxi Spoed is happy to plan a regular or one-off ride in advance for day care, a family visit or an appointment, with the same careful approach as an emergency ride.

Background

Regular rides, just as well cared for

Regularly to day care, a weekly family visit or a recurring treatment: a lot of wheelchair transport can perfectly well be planned in advance. We're happy to help think through a fixed schedule, so you don't have to call about it every single time.

A mobility scooter can come along too: our vehicles are equipped with an electric ramp that safely brings both a wheelchair and a mobility scooter on board.

Sound familiar?

  • You already know the date and time well in advance
  • It concerns a recurring ride, for example weekly
  • A mobility scooter needs to come along instead of a wheelchair

What kind of rides is wheelchair transport used for?

The range is broad. Customers are transported to day care and work, to family and friends, to the hairdresser, the physiotherapist or the GP, and to the theatre or a restaurant. Some rides are one-off, others recur every week on the same day and time.

For a recurring ride, we schedule the outbound and return trip together. You get a confirmation with the times and the price, so you know what to expect. If something changes in your schedule, you adjust it with a phone call.

Door to door, not just to the curb

Many people need help on the stretch between the front door and the vehicle. Our drivers help with that: over a threshold, through a hallway or along a curb. They pick you up where you live and bring you to the entrance of your destination, and inside on request.

A companion or family member simply rides along. For a return trip after an appointment, for example with a specialist, we agree beforehand how long the appointment will take, so you don't have to wait unnecessarily.

Why a regular carrier is convenient

Anyone who regularly makes the same trip wants certainty: a vehicle that shows up, a driver who knows the route, and clear agreements about times. That is exactly what we try to offer with regular rides. On top of that, you know that for an unexpected situation you can turn to the same partner for an emergency ride.
